To: FONNJ members

Our community is growing and our needs are changing. Please let us know, what type of programs and activities you would like our organization to conduct? We are looking for New Board members to help along with our programs and activities.

FONNJ, started its activities in NJ in early 1990 and officially established in 1998, is dedicated to preserve the Nepalese culture and to enhance the community quality of life. How we plan to achieve the mission is as follows:

1. Promote cultural activities to sustain self identity and enhance leadership among the younger Nepalese generation,

2. Strive to enhance the community quality of life through mentoring program,

3.. There are an increasing numbers of Nepalese American who are new to this community, we would like to help them by mobilizing community resources,

4. Finally, the FONNJ must support other Nepalese American organizations in the surrounding Tri-State areas. We will develop collaborative partnership with them.

As we embark on such endeavors, we call upon you for your support which can be given in the following ways:

* Volunteering your time at the events of the organization such as Summer picnic, New Year Event, Dashai-Tihar celebration and other activities

* Donating money to the organization to carry on special projects and programs.

As you know, without funding events cannot be held. Please be advised that our Association is a tax exempt organization under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our Federal Tax Identification Number is 30-0091226. All donations will be tax deductible. We are also eligible to receive matching grants from various corporations. If you have a project in mind, please let let us know, we will be happy to work with you.
