Congratulations to our U.S. Presidential Award Winner!

Uditi Karna, a Friends of Nepal- New Jersey (FONNJ) youth member and one of the most active volunteer, has just received the Presidential Volunteer Award. She has contributed over 150 hours of her time to FONNJ and her School projects in this year, from helping with our Youth activities to volunteering for many other organizations.
Thank you, Uditi, for all you’ve done for us and our community – and hearty congratulations on your much-deserved award!

JAYA LAXMI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - In sweet memory of Jaya Laxmi Hada, who passed away two weeks ago, the Friends of Nepal-NJ has set up a special Jaya Laxmi Hada Memorial scholarship to provide scholarships for poor children in Nepal. If anyone would like to donate tax deductible contribution towards this scholarship please send your contribution to FONNJ, P.O. Box 5015, Somerville, NJ 08876.

FONNJ's annual scholarship distribution ceremony at the Nanda Ratri School in Kathmandu. Scholarship recepinets are adults who work during the day time and goes to school at night to improve their future.  Thanks to all our Legacy Circle Members for their kind donation to make this scholarship program possible.
